What is population in statistics?
You might have heard about the term population a lots of times in statistics. It's a term which is used most frequently in the field of statistics. So, what is this population? The most simple definition of population is that, a set or aggregate of some elements having similar characteristics, or the set of an experiment. There are 6 types of population namely finite, infinite, animate, inanimate, existent and hypothetical. 1. Finite population:- The population in which the total number of element is finite is called a finite population. Eg, total number of books in a library. 2.
